In a large bowl, sift all dry ingredients: white flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix it well.
Add all the wet ingredients: the egg, milk and melted butter. Mix it well using a wire whisk until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix it well. Let the pancake rest for about 5-10 minutes before cooking it.
In a pan on medium-low heat, add the oil and make sure to spread across the entire pan. You can use a brush or a paper towel to help.
With the help of a ladle, pour around ¼ cup of the batter gently to the slightly oiled pan.
When bubbles start appear at the top part (and the bottom is golden), flip the pancake with the help of a spatula.
Repeat the process until all batter is used.
Serve it immediately with maple syrup, fruits, honey, whipped cream or any other toppings of your preference.
