Equipment

  • 1 Pressure Cooker (if you don't have it, you can use a regular pot, but it will take longer to cook)

Ingredients

To Season the Beef

  • 500 g Beef, cubed
  • ½ teaspoon Salt (to season the beef)
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder

Other Ingredients

  • 2 Onions, chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 450 g Potatoes, cubed
  • 240 g Carrots, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato concentrate
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 cups Beef broth (or 3 cups water and 1 Tablespoon beef bouillon)
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • ¼ cup Parsley, chopped
  • 2 Bay leaves (optional)
  • 1 cup Leek (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine in a plate flour, salt, black pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Mix it. Add the meat cubes and mix it.
  • In a pressure cooker, add the oil, onion, tomato paste, leek and meat and set it to medium-high heat. Cook it until the meat is sealed (around 2-3 minutes). Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add 3 cups of  water, the bay leaves and place the lid of the pressure cooker. Once the pot is making a sound that the pressure is on, let it cook on medium-low heat for 25 minutes.
  • While the meat is cooking, peel and cut the potatoes and carrots.
  • Carefully open the pressure cooker, add the potatoes and carrots. Close it again, set the heat to high until the pot gets pressure again and then reduce it to medium-low heat. Cook for another 10 minutes under pressure.
  • Carefully open the pressure cooker, add Worcestershire Sauce and let it cook on medium heat for another 5 to 10 minutes, so the sauce gets richer.
  • Add the parsley and serve.
