Servings: 25 brigadeiros
- 1 can Condensed Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
- 2 Tablespoons Chocolate Powder (like Nesquik, for example)
- 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- Chocolate sprinkles to cover
- Sweet holder molds, small (optional)
In a medium-low heat deep small pot, add the butter, the cocoa and chocolate powder and the condensed milk. While it is cooking, keep stirring consistently so it does not burn at the bottom.
Cook until the mixture thickens and it does not stick at the bottom anymore. It will take about 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let it rest until it cools, so you can handle.
Put a bit of butter on your hands (to make it easier to handle the mixture) and make small balls. Coat it with chocolate sprinkles.
Place each ball into a sweet mold. Repeat the process until all mixture is done.
- Depending on your preference for chocolate intensity, you can adjust the amount of cocoa powder. For a richer flavor, use more cocoa than chocolate.
- Coating Options: While chocolate sprinkles are traditional, feel free to get creative with coatings! Try crushed nuts, coconut, sugar, or even crushed cookies for different flavors and textures.
- Storage: Brigadeiros can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life. You can also easily freeze brigadeiros in an airtight container and removed only when you want to eat them. Leave them for a few minutes in room temperature and enjoy :)
