Ingredients

Ingredients for the chicken

  • 4 pieces Boneless chicken thighs (with skin)
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Ingredients for soy glazed sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • ½ Tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger, grated

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning the chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Then completely coat the chicken with a thin layer of cornstarch.
  • Add the oil to a medium-high heat pan. Once the oil is hot, place the chicken with the skin down. Hold the chicken down with a spoon for 20 seconds. Continue pan-frying the chicken for about 4 minutes.
  • Turn the chicken and pan-fry it on the other side for about 3 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and reserve.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the sauce into a bowl, and mix it well.
  • In the same pan, on medium-high heat, add the sauce and bring it to a boil. Only for about 15 seconds.
  • Add the chicken back to the pan and make sure to spread the sauce well. Cook it on each side for about 30 seconds on medium-high heat.
  • Served it on top of rice and vegetables. You can also garnish with chopped green onions.
