In a pot, add water and one teaspoon of salt. Mix it. Once it is boiling, add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions.
While the water is cooking, in a large pan on medium-high heat, add the olive oil and the bacon. Cook it until the bacon is crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and reserve.
Add the dried chili to the pan, cook it for a minute (optional, if you don't like spicy food, skip this step).
Add the tomato and garlic. Cook it for about 3 minutes.
Add the chickpeas, salt and black pepper. Mix it well.
Once the past is cooked, drain the pasta and add the pasta to the pan. Mix it well with the sauce for about 1 minute.
Garnish with the bacon, fresh parsley and parmesan cheese. Serve it together with a green salad.
