Baked Kibbeh Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 Onion, diced
- ½ cup Fresh mint leaves
- 1 pound Cooked bulgur
- 3 Garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- ¼ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 100 g Cheese (mozzarella or gouda)
How to Make the Best Baked Kibbeh with Cheese
- Start by preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Add all ingredients (except the cheese) to a bowl and mix it well.
- Add half of the mixture in the baking tray, press it while you do it.
- Add the cheese.
- Finish by adding the other half. Drizzle some extra olive oil on top and cover with foil paper.
- Bake it for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes.
- Serve it a side of yogurt mint sauce and fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, onions. Rice is also a great side dish.
