  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • ½ cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 pound Cooked bulgur
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 100 g Cheese (mozzarella or gouda)

How to Make the Best Baked Kibbeh with Cheese

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Add all ingredients (except the cheese) to a bowl and mix it well.
  3. Add half of the mixture in the baking tray, press it while you do it.
  4. Add the cheese.
  5. Finish by adding the other half. Drizzle some extra olive oil on top and cover with foil paper.
  6. Bake it for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes.
  7. Serve it a side of yogurt mint sauce and fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, onions. Rice is also a great side dish.
